Revision of the SEG Standard for European eel, 2023
The Sustainable Eel Group (SEG) Standard is a voluntary certification scheme for a Best Practice Code of Conduct for a Responsible Eel Sector for fishing and trade in the European eel.
Thank you to those of you who provided comments on the previous versions during the revision of the SEG standard in 2023. Those have been used to develop the next draft. We will write to you soon individually to say how your comments have been used.
The second draft of the new standard (version 7.0) is now available as a last opportunity to comment before finalising and publication. All stakeholders – anyone with an interest in the recovery and sustainable future of the European eel – can contribute.
