The Sustainable Eel Group (SEG) is pleased to announce that is has appointed Vottunarstofan Tún (known as  Tún) to be an independent Conformity Assessment Body (CAB) for certification to the SEG Standard.

Based in Iceland, Tún has over 30 years’ experience of providing certification services for various standards  including EU organic regulation and MSC sustainable fisheries.

Tún has successfully completed an application and assessment exercise with SEG to become formally recognised for Provisional Approval.  It will next work towards full CAB Approval.

SEG now has two independent CABs to provide SEG Standard Certification services:

Having more than one CAB provides choice to clients seeking SEG certification and resilience to SEG in having alternatives to offer.
